On November 18, YRCTI’s Party Secretary Zhou Baoping led a delegation to Nanning Vocational and Technical University and Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power for research visits focusing on specialty development, industry-education integration, as well as international exchange and cooperation. Leaders attending the visits also included YRCTI’s Vice President Zhu Huanli and heads of the Party and Government Office and the Liaison and Cooperation Department.

Party Secretary Jian Xingchao and Deputy Party Secretary Yang Qingyuan of Nanning Vocational and Technical University warmly welcomed Zhou Baoping and the delegation. At the discussion meeting, both sides introduced their historical development and general situation of recent educational work respectively, and conducted in-depth exchanges regarding specialty upgrades, talent cultivation models, curriculum system construction, selection and development of faculty, selection of specialty textbooks, as well as international exchange and cooperation. Zhou Baoping expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception of Nanning Vocational and Technical University. She stated that through this visit, YRCTI could learn from the educational experiences and practices of Nanning Vocational and Technical University to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two universities, jointly contributing to developing China into a powerful country in vocational education.

At Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power, Zhou Baoping gained a deep understanding of its initiatives to serve local social and economic development and conduct international exchange and cooperation with ASEAN countries. Both sides exchanged ideas on new approaches regarding the implementation of grass-rootsPartybuilding activities and the optimization of one-stop services for teachers and students. Both sides agreed that, as universities with distinctive characteristics in water conservancy, YRCTI and Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power should carry out more comprehensive and in-depth cooperative exchanges in the future to contribute to the high-quality development of the water conservancy sector.

During this visit, Zhou Baoping and the delegation visited characteristic departments and schools, laboratories, training centers and bases, and research bases of Nanning Vocational and Technical University and Guangxi Vocational College of Water Resources and Electric Power, gaining detailed insights into their educational situations in areas such as industry-education integration, talent cultivation, development of industrial colleges, as well as international cooperation.
