On November 7, the 6th 21st Century Maritime Silk Road Vocational Education Cooperation Forum was held in Yong'an, Fujian. Themed "Intelligence Empowers the Maritime Silk Road, Co-creating the Future," the forum brought together representatives from education authorities, vocational institutions, industry enterprises, and international organizations across multiple countries and regions to explore new pathways for international cooperation in vocational education and emerging opportunities in industry-education integration. As a model institution in regional higher vocational education reform and development, Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU) was invited to the forum to deliver a keynote speech.

During the forum, Vice President Jian Haoran delivered a keynote speech titled "Precision Positioning of Industry-Education Synergy: Building a New Paradigm for Vocational Education Going Global", sharing YRCTU's achievements and innovative practices in serving the Belt and Road Initiative. The report, grounded in a three-dimensional framework of "aligning with major-country diplomacy," "addressing corporate pain points," and "meeting practical livelihood needs," elaborated on YRCTU's innovative "One Core, Multiple Hubs, Four Integrations" educational model. This model focuses on cultivating internationalized skilled talent for overseas engineering projects, exploring collaborative pathways for institutions to "go global in groups," and fostering people-to-people connectivity through standards export, skills training, and cultural exchange. Vice President Jian emphasized that the globalization of vocational education is not only a mission to support industrial expansion but also a pivotal opportunity for high-quality development. YRCTU will adhere to the principle of "aligning its layout with industrial needs and centering its education on demand," continuously integrating high-quality resources, optimizing its development strategy, and deepening industry-education integration. The goal is to cultivate more compound, localized technical and skilled talents, thereby injecting vocational momentum into enhancing China's international influence in education and serving the global community with a shared future.

The educational practices of YRCTU's Overseas Dayu School have received high recognition and resonated widely among the attendees. Being invited to this forum to deliver a keynote speech not only affirms the effectiveness of our vocational education reforms and the overall strength of our institution, but also presents a significant opportunity for the university to further engage in educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. Looking ahead, YRCTU will further enhance pragmatic collaboration with educational institutions and enterprises in countries and regions along the Maritime Silk Road. We will continue to advance reforms in talent cultivation models, with a focus on nurturing high-caliber technical and skilled professionals who possess an international perspective, a thorough understanding of global standards, and the ability to meet the demands of global industries. These efforts will contribute even greater strength to the vocational education sector, fostering mutual understanding, industrial integration, and win-win development among the countries along the Maritime Silk Road.
