On the afternoon of September 10, 2025, the Liaison and Cooperation Department and the School of International Education held a working meeting in Room JX7122 to discuss international student recruitment, talent cultivation, and daily management.
Deputy Director Li Mingya of the Liaison and Cooperation Department briefed on the progress of international student recruitment and the South African Youth Study-in-China Program. Vice Dean Fang Ruina of the School of International Education introduced the preparations for the new semester's student enrollment and related teaching management arrangements.
Dean Wei Zongchao systematically outlined the school's innovative practices in international student management, talent cultivation, and quality certification. He also introduced the 2025 orientation activities and safety management plans, emphasizing that the School of International Education would thoroughly implement the university's tasks to ensure smooth operations in the new semester.
Director Ji Yao of the Liaison and Cooperation Department delivered a concluding speech, fully affirming the progress made by the School of International Education. He stressed the need to further elevate ideological awareness, adhere to the principle of "no small matter in foreign affairs," and manage details from political and safety perspectives to strengthen the international student safety management system, ensuring zero oversight or deviation in management. He also called for deeper interdepartmental collaboration to enhance information sharing and problem-solving, thereby improving work efficiency.
During the meeting, the two departments also exchanged views on the hiring and management of foreign teachers, the dispatch of Chinese teachers to the Dayu School, and international Chinese language research projects. The meeting further aligned work approaches, laying a solid foundation for the steady advancement of YRCTU's internationalization and the standardized development of foreign affairs in the new semester.
