On November 5, the opening ceremony for the Italian faculty and student training program was held in Conference Room 7122, Building 7, at Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU). Attendees included Ji Yao, Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department; Wei Zongchao, Dean of the School of International Education; and all members of the training program. The ceremony was hosted by Li Mingya, Deputy Director of the Liaison and Cooperation Department.

Ji Yao extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He briefly introduced the university's basic profile, achievements in internationalization, and shared the outcomes of its educational exchanges and cooperation with Europe. He stressed that Italy plays a crucial role as a bridge for China-Europe civilizational dialogue, hoping this program would enhance exchanges and cooperation with Italian and other European institutions, thereby creating a new chapter in China-Europe vocational education collaboration.
On behalf of the delegation, Teacher Victoria Morosi extended sincere thanks to the host university for its warm reception. She then outlined the delegation's formation background and member structure, with a focus on showcasing the unique educational characteristics and academic strengths of each participating institution. She noted that the delegation's faculty and students were eagerly looking forward to their visit, aiming to enhance their professional expertise, immerse themselves in the richness of Chinese culture, and most significantly, leverage this experience as a foundation to foster connections between Chinese and European youth through their firsthand insights.
After the meeting, Wei Zongchao gave a comprehensive introduction to the program schedule, covering the curriculum of the skills training module, the thematic focus of the special lectures, the distinctive features of the enterprise visit partners, and the design philosophy behind the cultural experience activities. This ensured all delegation members fully grasped the learning objectives and logistical arrangements. He emphasized that YRCTU would provide comprehensive support to ensure the event's smooth execution, enabling both faculty and students to gain valuable insights and experiences.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the university's practical training centers and the Yellow River Culture Corridor.
As part of YRCTU's "Exploring the Central Plains, Tasting the Yellow River" series of China-foreign cultural exchange activities, this program brought together faculty and students from five institutions, including the Lombardy Institute of Mechatronics and Industrial Technology and the Berlucchi - Florenti Vocational Education College. The 10-day program is structured around skills training, expert lectures, corporate visits, and cultural immersion, aiming to create a platform for professional development, intellectual exchange, and cultural dialogue between Chinese and European participants, thereby injecting new vitality into China-Europe educational cooperation.
