On October 18, the second "Henan with You, All the Way with Flowers and Songs" International Culture Festival for Educators and Students from China and Abroad, hosted by the Education Department of Henan Province, was held at North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power. The grand event brought together nearly 2,100 faculty and students from 73 universities across Henan province, including over 600 international faculty and student representatives from nearly 40 countries, to appreciate the charm of diverse cultures and foster international friendships. Representatives from Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU) actively participated in the event, showcasing the international outlook of the university's education. Their outstanding performance earned them the prestigious "Best Culinary Presentation Award."

During the event, the cultural exchange booths organized by various universities showcased a vibrant diversity. YRCTU, drawing on the ethnic characteristics of its international students, particularly focused on creating a Russian Cuisine Booth. We meticulously prepared a selection of authentic Russian delicacies, including Medovik, Russian rye bread, and kvass—all iconic to the region. The rich flavors, unique taste, and deep cultural significance quickly drew a large crowd of participants who stopped to sample the food and engage in conversations. The booth was bustling, with Chinese and international faculty and students enthusiastically interacting over the culinary culture, making it one of the festival's most distinctive and memorable experiences.
Following a rigorous evaluation by the event organizers, YRCTU was awarded the "Best Culinary Presentation Award" for the outstanding presentation of the Russian Cuisine Booth. This recognition not only reflects high praise for our faculty and students but also serves as a strong affirmation of YRCTU's achievements in promoting international cultural exchange.
The 2nd Henan International Culture Festival for Educators and Students from China and Abroad has served as a highly effective bridge for interaction and exchange among faculty and students from different countries and cultural backgrounds, becoming an important platform to promote multicultural integration and deepen international friendship. Wang Huaxing, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange at the Education Department of Henan Province, stated in his speech that Henan has always regarded education opening-up as a key driver of high-quality development, committed to building a strong magnet for "bringing in" education and broadening new pathways for "going global." At this event, our faculty and students demonstrated outstanding teamwork and international communication skills with professional competence and great enthusiasm. Moving forward, YRCTU will continue to leverage various international cultural exchange activities to advance the internationalization of our education, further expand channels for Sino-foreign cultural exchange, and contribute more to cultivating talent with a global vision and promoting mutual learning among civilizations.
