On November 26, the Thailand Dahe Workshop Construction Promotion Meeting was held in Room 7502 of Building 7 at Yellow River Conservancy Technical University (YRCTU). Attendees included Liu Na, Deputy Director of the Vocational and Adult Education Department at the Education Department of Henan Province; Pradit Wacharadet, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Kittipong Uttamawetin, President of Rayong Technical College, Thailand; as well as President Hu Hao and Vice President Zhu Huanli of YRCTU. Representatives from relevant departments and secondary colleges were also present.
President Hu Hao extended a warm welcome to the Thai delegation and expressed sincere gratitude for the long-standing support from the Education Department of Henan Province. He provided an overview of the university's profile and reviewed the collaborative journey with Rayong Technical College. As one of the first institutions in Henan to establish the "Dahe Workshop" for vocational education internationalization, the university attaches great importance to the workshop's development. It will refine management systems, build an effective quality assurance framework, and strive to create a model brand for vocational education export. President Hu emphasized that the university will continue to deepen practical China-Thailand vocational education cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to cultivate more high-quality technical talents for Thailand's economic and social development.
Liu Na, on behalf of the Education Department of Henan Province, congratulated the successful convening of the promotion meeting and highly commended the university's achievements in international education. She emphasized that this year marks the golden 50th anniversary of China-Thailand friendship, presenting a valuable opportunity to deepen educational cooperation between the two nations. The Education Department will leverage the Dahe Workshop initiative to support provincial vocational institutions in aligning with Thailand's economic development strategy, fostering deeper practical collaboration with Thai vocational colleges in areas such as academic degree programs, skills training, standard development, and cultural exchange.
Mr. Kittipong Uttamawetin expressed sincere gratitude for the warm hospitality. He stated that Rayong Technical College highly recognizes the significant value and importance of the Dahe Workshop in advancing vocational education internationalization and skilled talent development. Leveraging the Dahe Workshop initiative, both institutions have established a solid foundation for cooperation and achieved fruitful results. He expressed hope that both institutions would expand cooperation scope, deepen collaboration, and further promote China-Thailand vocational education exchange, injecting new momentum into enhancing people-to-people bonds and coordinated socio-economic development between the two nations.
The presidents of both institutions signed the Dahe Workshop cooperation agreement for the e-commerce program. Director Liu Na, along with leaders from both institutions, unveiled the Thailand Dahe Workshop.
During their visit to YRCTU, the delegation from Rayong Technical College held in-depth discussions with the heads and faculty representatives of our School of Business and Management regarding joint talent cultivation programs. They also experienced an immersive e-commerce course. The Thai delegation highly praised YRCTU's distinctive professional strengths, theory-practice integrated teaching model, and advanced practical training facilities.
