From October 29 to November 6, several activities of the “Exploring Central Plains, Experiencing the Yellow River” Study Tour for Uzbekistan Teachers and Students were successfully held at YRCTI. 16 teachers and students from KIMYO International University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan participated in this event.

The study tour was carried out around themes such as the “Chinese Language + Civil Engineering Technology” courses and the exchange of fine Chinese cultures. Taking into account the needs of the Uzbekistan students and leveraging professional strengths, the School of Civil Engineering and Transportation Engineering and the School of International Education delivered several “Chinese Language + Civil Engineering Technology” courses, including the Chinese Language, Chinese Architectural Drawing and Construction, BIM Technology Application, and Civil Engineering Technology Application, which enabled students to have a deep understanding of China’s civil engineering technology by combining theoretical learning with practical experience. Additionally, the study group also participated in a variety of activities, including traditional cultural experiences, visits to historical sites, field trips along the Yellow River, and tasting of local specialties.

This study tour not only deepened the understanding of Chinese culture among Uzbekistan teachers and students and enhanced their professional skills but also provided them with a platform for interaction and communication with Chinese teachers and students. Participating students all expressed that this experience is a valuable asset in their lives and that upon returning home, they will share their impressions and experiences in China with more people to promote the China-Uzbekistan friendship and contribute to the cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

Since 2022, YRCTI has collaborated with universities from Russia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and other countries to host a series of “Exploring Central Plains, Experiencing the Yellow River” people-to-people exchange activities, which has created distinctive brands for international people-to-people exchanges, enhanced YRCTI’s international influence, promoted cultural interactions with countries along the Belt and Road, and presented a more authentic, multifaceted, and comprehensive image of China to the world.
