节日和假日

一学年里，学生一般会有以下这几个假期：元旦、寒假（春节、元宵节）、清明节、劳动节、端午节、暑假、中秋节、国庆节。

元旦： 1月1日

寒假：通常为一月下旬至二月中旬（春节为农历一月一日，元宵节一月十五日

清明节：4月5日

劳动节：5月1日

端午节（龙舟节）：农历五月五日

暑假：通常为七月初至九月初

中秋节：农历八月十五日

国庆节：10月1日

如果国家法定假日碰到周末，在假期的前后通常会补一或两天，作为工作日。每年的具体节假日日期请参考校历和学校的通知。

气候

开封地处中原腹地，属温带季风气候，四季分明，一般气候特点是冬季寒冷干燥，春季干旱多风，夏季高温多雨，秋季天高气爽。多年平均气温为14.52℃，多年平均无霜期为221天，多年平均降水量为627.5毫米，降水多集中在夏季的7、8月份。

Festivals and holidays

During a school year, students usually have the following holidays: New Year's Day, winter vacation (Spring Festival, Lantern Festival), Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, summer vacation, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day.

New Year's Day: January 1st

Winter vacation: usually from late January to mid-February (the Spring Festival falls on the first day of the first lunar month, and the Lantern Festival is on the fifteenth day of the first lunar month)

Tomb Sweeping Day: April 5th

Labour Day: May 1st

The Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival): the fifth day of the fifth lunar month

Summer vacation: usually from early July to early September

The Mid-Autumn Festival: the 15th day of the eighth lunar month

National Day: October 1st

If a national legal holiday falls on a weekend, one or two days before or after the holiday are usually added as working days. For the specific dates of each year's holidays, please refer to the school calendar and the school's notifications.

Climate

Kaifeng is located in the heart of the Central Plains and has a temperate monsoon climate with distinct four seasons. Generally speaking, the climate features cold and dry winters, dry and windy springs, hot and rainy summers, and clear and cool autumns. The multi-year average temperature is 14.52℃, the multi-year average frost-free period is 221 days, and the multi-year average precipitation is 627.5 millimeters, with most of the precipitation concentrated in July and August of summer.
