Founded in 2018,Dayu School is an internationalcooperativeeducationinstitutioninitiated by Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute (YRCTI) and jointly established with China’s well-known hydropower enterprises and overseas universities and colleges.Relying onitsadvantages in vocational educationand featured specialties, Dayu Schoolaims forcultivating high-level international technical talents.
The School is named after"Dayu",the ancestor of the Chinese nation who tamed the flood to develop agriculture. He dredged nine rivers and delimited nine states of ancient China. Carrying forward the spirit of"Dayu tame the flood",theSchool shares excellent professional technology and culture of China's water conservancy and hydropower industry with the whole world by providing academic education and vocational training.

YRCTI has establishedthreeDayu Schools in Zambia,South Africa, Thailand and Ethiopia. A total ofmore than2000foreign students have been trained.Andthe professional standards developedby Dayu School, including HydraulicEngineering andMechanicalEngineering,have been recognized by theEducationDepartments of thesecountries.Dayu School has received extensive attention and praise from China, local governments and media for its fruitful school-running results.And it has become a model of China’s vocational education"going abroad".
