Civil and Transportation Engineering School is a core academic unit of the university, offering specialized programs including: Road and Bridge Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology, Urban Rail Transit Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering Technology (Construction Quality and Safety Management), Engineering Cost, Civil Engineering Inspection Technology, Water Supply and Drainage Engineering Technology, Underground and Tunnel Engineering Technology.
The School boasts 1 nationally recognized model Party branch (first batch), 1 national demonstration key specialty program, and 1 national vocational education teaching innovation team (first batch). It was included in the Ministry of Education's first batch of "1+X" certificate system pilot programs (Building Information Modeling/BIM), along with 2 provincial teaching reform pilot specialties, and 1 provincial distinctive specialty program. The School maintains three national-level quality resource-sharing courses, has led or participated in compiling over ten nationally planned textbooks, and developed more than forty specialized teaching materials.
The School currently has 75 faculty members, including 4 professors, 15 associate professors, 1 national-level distinguished teacher, and 2 provincial/ministerial-level distinguished teachers. Among them, 65 hold doctoral or master's degrees, and 30 possess professional qualifications such as Geotechnical Engineer, Grade-1 Construction Engineer, and Supervision Engineer. The School operates over 20 on-campus training facilities that integrate professional instruction, skill development, and technical services, including a Comprehensive Construction Technology Training Field and a Materials Testing Laboratory.
The School has consistently pursued excellence through quality education and distinctive development, emphasizing the cultivation of students' comprehensive competencies and professional skills while encouraging individualized growth. Over the past three decades, it has trained and supplied more than 15,000 intermediate and senior technical professionals to China's civil engineering and transportation industries.
