Department of Physical Education currently has a faculty and staff of 23 members, with 6 indoor teaching venues covering 9,196 square meters and 10 outdoor teaching facilities occupying 67,112 square meters.
The Department of Physical Education is primarily responsible for delivering the "Sports and Health" course across the university. Adhering to the teaching philosophy of "health first, lifelong sports, and holistic development," it upholds the educational principle that physical education must achieve the goals of teaching competence, diligent practice, and regular competition. Through the integration of theoretical learning and skill development in teaching, learning, practice, and competition, the department enables university students to master 1-2 sports skills and cultivate lifelong exercise habits. This approach helps students derive enjoyment from physical activity, enhance their physical fitness, develop sound character, and temper their willpower—ultimately achieving the goal of "refining the spirit while strengthening the body."
