Department of Basic Courses currently has a faculty of 31 members, including 2 professors, 12 associate professors, 14 lecturers, and 3 teaching assistants, among whom 3 hold doctoral degrees. The department consists of the Advanced Mathematics Teaching and Research Division, the Humanities Education Teaching and Research Division, the Mathematics and Physics Teaching and Research Division, the Labor Education Teaching and Research Division, and the Mathematics and Physics Practical Training Center. The training center is equipped with one mathematical modeling lab and four university physics laboratories.

The Department of Basic Education is primarily responsible for delivering fundamental courses across the university, including Advanced Mathematics, College Chinese, College Physics, Linear Algebra, Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Literary Appreciation, and Labor Education. It plays a pivotal role in cultivating students' professional competencies and core academic abilities.
